Three Nations Bridge / Seaway International Bridge
Entering from Cornwall Canada via Massena
The Seaway International Bridge in Massena is a popular access point for St. Lawrence County visitors, including access by automobiles, cyclists and pedestrians. The Seaway International Bridge links Cornwall, Ontario, Akwesasne, and Messena and was renamed the Three Nations Bridge Crossing in recognition of the 3 nations it connects, including Canada, Akwasasne, and the U.S.A. Vehicle toll costs can be paid in either Canadian or US dollars and usually between $3.00 and $4.00, though pedestrians and cyclists can enjoy free entry.

Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge
Entering from Canada via Ogdensburg
The Ogdensburg–Prescott International Bridge is a popular and convenient entry point for Canadian or travelling visitors to St. Lawrence County. The bridge itself connects Ogdensburg, New York in the United States to Johnstown, Ontario in Canada.
Though access is limited to vehicles only with no foot traffic, more often than not, wait times at this entry point are nearly non-existent making it a quick trip over the 1.5-mile bridge. The toll cost is generally around $3.25 USD when entering from Canada.

Massena International Airport

Massena International Airport, also known as Richards Field, is another affordable option for those planning a visit to St. Lawrence County through a flight connection in Boston, MA. With a range of foreign and domestic flight paths connected by Boutique Air through Boston Logan Airport, this can be a great option for business travelers. The airport itself is situated in the heart of the St. Lawrence Seaway Valley on the border of St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties, just minutes from Cornwall, Ontario, and about 45 minutes from Montreal's West Island making it an especially ideal air travel choice for travelling Canadians and New Yorkers alike.
Ogdensburg International Airport

When it comes to exploring St. Lawrence County, the Ogdensburg International Airport is a convenient gateway to our northern New York region. Offering a growing range of direct flights and connecting flight paths from locations across America, this is a great travel option to incorporate when planning your trip in St. Lawrence County. Flights are currently operated through Contour Air (booking with American Airlines), and oftentimes boast some of the most affordable fares on the market. No matter where your trip might take you, sometimes starting your journey from the Ogdensburg International Airport is the most affordable and convenient option, especially for Canadian travelers who can opt to clear customs at the bridge, drive a few short minutes to the airport and hop on a domestic US flight!

Entering St. Lawrence County
From Albany: Take I-87 North to Exit 23 towards Warrensburg/Diamond Point. Turn left onto Diamond Point Road and then a right onto Rte 9. Continue for about 4.2 miles on Rte 9 and then take a left onto Rte 28. Continue on Rte 28 until you reach Blue Mountain Lake. Take a right hand turn onto Rte 28N and continue on until you reach Long Lake. Take a left hand turn onto Rte 30 and continue until you have reached Tupper Lake. Take Rte 3 West, where you enter St. Lawrence County in Piercefield, located in the Adirondack Park.
From Syracuse: Take I-81 North to Exit 48A toward I-781. Continue onto I-781 for about 4 miles, and then take exit 4 for U.S. Highway 11. Keep left at the fork and merge onto U.S. Highway 11 North where you will enter St. Lawrence County near Sommerville. Continue on U.S. Highway 11 North and you will reach Canton, the seat of St. Lawrence County.
From Ottawa: Off of the ON-417, take ON-416 South for approximately 71km to Exit 1 toward ON-401/ON-16. Continue onto ON-16 for about 1.5km, then turn right (signs for State Highway 37/Bridge to U.S.A). Continue on to Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge where you enter St. Lawrence County in Ogdensburg, NY.
From Burlington, VT: Take I-89 to VT-314 North in South Hero. Follow VT-314 North to Cumberland Head - Grand Isle (follow signs to ferry). Take Cumberland Head-grand Isle Ferry to Plattsburg, NY. Once you get off the ferry, continue on 314 until you reach the Exit for I-87 South. Continue down I-87 South until you reach Rte 347. Stay on Rte 347 for approximately 50 miles until you reach Rte 11 in Chateaugay. Take a left onto Rte 11 and continue on through Malone until you reach Potsdam, located in St. Lawrence County.
