Experts and representatives will be set up to share resources and information on area opportunities for families, from health care to after school activities, to regional attractions. Kick off the spring with this great event for your family!

We are seeking experts and representatives to share resources and information on area opportunities for families, from health care, to after school activities, to regional attractions. Exhibitor spaces are available for all the activities mentioned, as well as businesses and organizations that cater to families.
If you are offering an activity, you will receive a 2nd booth free!

Lena the Lizard Lady

Meet Lena the Lizard Lady along with all of her special friends! Interact with exotic lizards, snakes and sloths in a safe environment. Lena's "We Aim to Amaze" entertainment is a HANDS ON educational experience. Come prepared to be amazed to interact with these exotic animals! Lena can often be found at birthday parties and events throughout the North Country and has over 30 years experience in children's entertainment and educational services.
Lena's Lizards
Lizards are Lena's specialty! Check out a variety of species including Bearded & Water Dragons, Tegus, Crested & Leopard Geckos, Skinks, Chameleons & False Chameleons. Lena's black and white tegu, Ted E. Bear and Rybecca, the Cuban rock iguana will be especially excited to greet you!
Slithering Safe Snakes
Check out a few, small, medium and large snakes for your next photo opp featuring Boas, Corn Snakes, Milk Snakes, Hognose, & Pythons. Take a picture with O'hana, Lena's 10 foot sunglow boa!
Super Cute Sloths
Meet a couple two-toes Linnaeus sloths! Take an up close picture with Lena and baby male Tony 2toes Slowman. Adult female, Sweet'Tater will be "hanging around" in her protective tent!
Kid Friendly Total Solar Eclipse Presentation
2:30pm - 3:30pm
Learn about the upcoming out-of-this world experience! Aileen O'Donoghue, Henry Priest Professor of Physics from St. Lawrence University, will review what a Total Solar Eclipse is and how it will affect St. Lawrence County on Monday, April 8, 2024.
Aileen's kid friendly presentation will review how the solar system aligns, creating dark skies midday with a 360-degree sunset throughout the narrow path of TOTALITY under the shadow of the moon. Learn how animals will react and what our surroundings will look and sound like because of the eclipse.
Aileen has been educating communities surrounding the Solar Eclipse over the past year and has a robust presentation to answer all your need-to-know questions!
Apple Orchard in Rensselaer Falls and agritourism business, offering a variety of activities for all age groups.
Say cheese at their photo opportunity and spin the wheel for prizes! Items from the orchard's Apple Barn Market including baked maple and vanilla cinnamon rolls, and donuts will also be available for purchase.
Located in Robert Moses State Park in Massena, the Nature Center provides a perfect place for learning and exploring from hiking trails and nature exhibits, to an aquarium and observatory.Â

SLC Arts is a non-profit that supports the arts and culture community in the tricounty area through programming, exhibitions, and their SCR regrant program.

St. Lawrence Historical AssociationÂ
Headquartered at the Silas Wright Museum in Canton, the SLHA maintains archives for genealogy research, as well as exhibits on North Country Life at the turn of the 20th century, serving as an educational resource for those interested in St. Lawrence County's history and traditions. The not-for-profit Association collects and preserves archival material and artifacts pertinent to the County's history including extensive records on the region's role in the Civil War and War of 1812.Â

The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce is also the Tourism Promotion Agent for St. Lawrence County, in partnership with I Love NY.

Stop by and learn about the robust hiking trail system and all the undiscovered opportunities the county has to offer between the 1,000 Islands and the Foothills of the Adirondacks!
Aileen O'Donoghue, Henry Priest Professor of Physics from St. Lawrence University will be available to answer any questions you have on what your Total Eclipse Experience will look like! Learn what to expect and all the effects that Totality will have when the county goes dark shortly after 3:20pm on Monday, April 8th! Aileen will provide demos including an Earth Orrery and a Yard Stick Eclipse to illustrate the Earth-Moon scale, take home instructional handouts and show various map displays to answer all your eclipse related science questions!
